Back at the start of July, scores of strange misunderstood creatures gathered in the industrial bowels of Bowen Hills to conjure audio magic. That's right, tone freaks and pedal geeks gathered for Stomptown Brisbane!
Feature artists for the night were Dead Letter Circus, who did a fantastic rundown of the pedals we provided them with for the recording of their exciting new album 'Aesthesis'. They were really inspired by the new sounds yielded by the pedals they used, including the Flux Effects pedals, the Caroline Guitar Company Kilobyte Lo-fi Digital Delay, the Greer Amps Southland Harmonic Overdrive, the JHS Pedals Firefly on bass!
Our good friends Goodwood Audio came up from Sydney especially to share about their long awaited website launch, the release of their ingenious Interfacer and the success it enjoyed in its Kickstarter Campaign, and they just generally brought the cool! We're excited to be working with these guys, and if you want an incredible board custom designed and wired, then check this out.
Noise Toys Imports made an appearance with John Raggett the National Sales Manager giving away a Strymon DIG to a very happy winner! Ben Shaw also showcased the entire Strymon range on a split mega-board - one night is nowhere near enough time to go through everything that board could do! Thanks Ben for sharing some cool tips and tricks with us.
Last but far from least, big ups goes to Paul from White Flag Studio for his help and ongoing involvement, not to mention some fantastic photography; to Phil for his help and continuing enthusiastic contribution; and to Jason for his awesome photography as well. A special mention goes to Ian and the team at The Best Music Shop in Jindalee for their involvement and support too - check out our cabinet in their store if you want to try and buy in person!
Of course a big thanks to all that attended, and we look out for another Stomptown in another centre in the future!
